Valentine's Day Cooking Demonstration Ideas

Who could resist this vibrant raspberry cheesecake?

Are you putting together a Valentine's Day cooking demonstration? If you are, you're not alone. Lynda Murray, RD, LD, requested healthful Valentine's Day recipes for an upcoming cooking demonstration in front of 150 people! Lynda was looking for a few healthful dishes that could fit her theme but not be the same old Valentine's Day offerings.

We found so many great options for her in the free recipe archive that we got carried away by the enthusiasm and want to share them with you. And if you're not planning a cooking demonstration, you can still incorporate some of these dishes into your Valentine's celebration.

Starters and Salads

Try a chopped kale salad for a gorgeous and balanced salad highlighting the importance of presentation.

Of course, the vegetarian carpaccio (search the recipe page) also brightens up any plate while highlighting a variety of colorful vegetables.

Main Dishes

Go for red: red salmon, red lentils, beets, rice with beets, cherry tomatoes, and strawberries.

Desserts

Desserts take center stage on Valentine's Day. Try chocolate-dipped strawberries or bowls of red fruit.

Of course, the berry yogurt bombe is also a creative and delicious option.
