20 MinHere is a delicious family burger meal that follows the MyPlate configuration with 5 food groups. Add a glass of milk to round it out.
Ingredients
- 4 lean burger patties
- 4 small buns
- 2 medium sweet potatoes, cut into French Fries
- 1 cup lettuce leaves, rinsed and patted dry
- 2 tomatoes sliced
- 1/2 red onion, sliced
- ketchup
- 3 cups sliced melon (watermelon and canteloupe)
Instructions
- Cook or grill the burger patties to medium-well and prep all ingredients.
- Air-fry the sweet potato fries in an air fryer or 425 degree (F) oven until they are crispy, about 25 minutes. You can spray them with a little oil first if desired.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the burger patties on the bun with the lettuce, tomato, ketchup, and onion.
- Serve the burgers with the fruit strips and the air-fryed sweet potatoes
