Terms of Use
Effective November 7, 2026
These Terms of Use apply to foodandhealth.com, which is owned and operated by Food and Health Communications, Inc. ("we," "us"). By using this website, buying a membership or buying a digital download, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. What we offer
We publish nutrition education materials for health professionals, educators and wellness programs. These include paid memberships with access to our library of more than 1,700 handouts and other resources, digital downloads sold individually, and free articles and recipes.
2. Accounts and memberships
Memberships are managed through MemberSpace, and payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number. You are responsible for keeping your login private and for activity on your account. Memberships renew automatically until you cancel. Renewal, cancellation and refund details are on our Billing and FAQs page, which is part of these terms.
3. Digital downloads
Digital downloads are delivered electronically after purchase. Because they cannot be returned, digital download sales are final. If a file will not open or is not what was described, contact us and we will help fix it. See Billing and FAQs.
4. How you may use our materials
Your purchase gives you a license to use our materials, not ownership of them. The license terms are on our License and Copyright page and, for premium members, our Premium License page. In short: you may print and share materials with the people you teach or serve, within the sharing limits your license allows. Members and buyers of a digital download may make as many copies as they need for education. If you are using our free materials without a membership, you may make up to 20 copies per year. If you need more, please become a member. You may not resell, republish, post publicly online, or share login access, unless your license says otherwise.
5. Purchase orders and checks
Organizations may pay by purchase order or check. Please contact us for a quote and payment instructions.
6. Educational information only
Our content is for general nutrition education. It is not medical advice and does not replace care from a doctor, dietitian or other qualified professional.
7. Acceptable use
Please do not misuse the site: no attempts to break security, scrape or bulk download content, upload harmful code, or use the site for anything unlawful.
8. Our content and trademarks
All site content, including text, graphics, handouts, slides and recipes, is owned by Food and Health Communications, Inc. or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law.
9. Links to other sites
We may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
10. Disclaimers, limit of liability and indemnity
You use the site and our materials at your own risk. The site and materials are provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties beyond those stated in these terms, and your only remedy for any claim relating to the site or a purchase is a refund of the amount you paid for that purchase.
By using our site and materials, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Food and Health Communications, Inc. and its owners and staff from any claims, losses or costs arising from your use of the materials or your breach of these terms.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Statement explains what we collect and how we use it, including cookies and analytics.
12. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts of Riverside County, California, including small claims court.
