What's New This Month: Two Free Hubs and 11 Fresh Teaching Tools

October is here, classes are back in full swing, and we've been busy. This month we're rounding up two brand-new free hubs on foodandhealth.com — one for printable handouts, one for interactive games and quizzes — plus every new product that just went live in the Nutrition Education Store. Bookmark this page, and grab whatever your next class, clinic, or health fair needs.

🖨️ New: The Free Handout Hub

Browse the Free Handout Hub →

We pulled our best free printables into one clean, organized home. It's 50+ ready-to-print PDF handouts, grouped by the topics you teach most — MyPlate, the new 2026 Food Pyramid, sodium and blood pressure, food labels, DASH, fiber, portion control, and more. Every handout is free, print-as-many-as-you-need, and each topic links to the matching store products if you want a poster, tearpad, or class kit to go with it.

Print them for a class, photocopy them for a health fair table, or send them home with a client. No account, no catch.

🎮 New: The Free Game & Quiz Hub

This is the fun one. Our new interactive hub lets you test knowledge live — right on a laptop, tablet, or projector — with no sign-up and no download. Great for Lunch & Learns, staff trainings, classrooms, and wellness fairs. On the page right now:

  • Are You a Nutrition Expert? — a free 9-question challenge covering MyPlate, the 2025–2030 Dietary Guidelines, added sugar, sodium, healthy fats, and ultra-processed foods.
  • Build a Healthy Plate — tap each part of MyPlate to see what goes there and how much.
  • Test Your Nutrition Knowledge — pick a topic (fiber, healthy plate, food label, or mixed) and see how you score.
  • How Many Calories Are in a Food? — enter grams from any Nutrition Facts label and watch where the calories come from.
  • Nutrition Basics Word Search & Quiz — printable PDFs for the days you'd rather hand something out.
  • Plus the Nutrition Crossword Puzzle Maker — build your own puzzle in minutes.

Members unlock the full set — How Much Sugar?, Nutrition Trivia Challenge, Eat More / Eat Less, Read the Label Challenge — plus matching handouts and the Wellness Fair in a Box.
